10 Big Mistakes to Avoid When Using Squeeze Pages

List Building with An Effective Squeeze Page

Let’s discuss the most effective way to start building your optin list, quickly and efficiently as possible.

Why ? Use Squeeze Pages…

There are “good” and “bad” ways to approach an effective, profitable squeeze page design. Creating Urgency or Fear In Your Headline – When compiling an effective headline for any squeeze page, it’s important you create urgency and or fear. Remember, a squeeze page is not a sales page… it’s meant to acquire your visitors email address… period!

Create Urgency:-

“this special is for 72 hrs ONLY” -

“Available to the next 15 subscribers ONLY”…

Using Fear: -

“If you DON”T ” read this report, you have a 90% chance of never…..

- “Statistics”, have now shown that children can also be seriously effected by…..

Providing 2 optin forms on every page – You will increase your chances greatly if you provide 2 optin forms on your squeeze page. One form should always be placed in the top of the page (left/right) another at the very bottom of the page as the last element on the page.

Using a “graphical” optin box at the top – This has increased my squeeze page optin rates by as much as 35%. Naturally, your sales copy will dramatically affect your optin percentage, simply by providing this additional graphical component on your page you have a higher chance of increasing your overall optin rates.

NO NO NO External Links – This is a common failure!. This is a squeeze page with one purpose ONLY – GET THE EMAIL ADDRESS! Never place external links on your squeeze page. You can sell them later. SO, no links! Two options: Leave or subscribe. Never ask for information than is not absolutely necessary – I see it all the time. Name, address, phone number, best time to call, how you heard about us,… Ask only for name and primary email address. That’s it! That’s all you need. You’ll drastically reduce your subscriber rates if you start asking for anything more from a subscriber (you don’t need anything more).

You must provide your name and email address at the bottom of your squeeze page always – I’ve Recenly conducted tests with my own squeeze pages, I found a 2% to 7% dropout rate when I removed my name and or email address from a squeeze page. For increased subscriber rates, You must include this information EVERYTIME!Personalize your page.

Less Really Is More – Don’t over-complicate your optin offer. Keep it s,s,s short, sweet, simple. Many times a squeeze page is way too long and confusing. Explain the benefits of your offer and that’s it. LESS REALLY IS MORE!

Privacy Policy – You must place a brief (small and subtle) statement directly below your form subscribe button, Inform people you won’t rent, sell or give their personal information to anyone. Privacy is the major concern of most people, by simply displaying this privacy message directly below your form you will significantly increase your subscribe rates.

Use Professional Graphics – Never use a poorly designed e-cover or software boxes which appear amateurish with your optin offer. Nothing puts off more customers than poor cover graphics. Remember the saying… a picture says a thousand words… make sure those e-covers are eye-popping and captivating! It will definitely pay off in the long run.

Test…Test…Test Again and Again! – You can always increase your subscriber rates… ALWAYS! Until you’re getting 100% of visitors who land on your squeeze pages to optin to your list there’s always room to improve! Never stop testing.

So there it is. List Building of targeted subscribers through optin boxes is your first and foremost task online. To build your list quickly and efficiently, Create your squeeze pages using the 10 tips we’ve discussed above and you’re nearly guaranteed success.
